KUCHING: A 21-year-old woman is believed to have been molested by her own friend in the wee hours at Taman Sukma recently.
Prior to the incident, the victim and her female friend together with the suspect were loitering at the nearby car park.
It was only after her friend had left that the 20-something suspect shoved the victim on the ground before inserting his finger into her private part.
The victim, however, only told her family of the incident yesterday and was brought to the Sarawak General Hospital for a medical checkup.
Deputy Kuching Police Chief Supt Abang Ahmad Abg Julai when contacted yesterday confirmed that a report of the case had been lodged.
“We have received the report and the case is currently under investigation,” said Ahmad, adding that it would be investigated under section 354 of the Penal Code.
